Orissa Nuapatna’s weaving origin traces back to 12th Century AD and it is closely associated with Lord Jagannath Temple rituals at Puri, Odisha. Nuapatna specialises in single ikat. (1) Kurta Material- Length 2.5 Mt & Breadth 44 Inches (112 cm), (2) Pant Material- Length 1.9 -2 Mt, & Breadth 44 Inches (112 cm), (3) Dupatta- 2.3 Mt Length & width 29 Inches (74 cm) Material: Pure Cotton (mercerised), 100 Count on both warp & weft
Ikat (Ikkat) is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft fibers prior to dyeing. Ikat has lovely patterns and are world famous for their extremely beautiful colors, texture and designs.
Please note :
These are handwoven fabrics, minor irregularities, weaving knots etc are part of the creation process and will be round.
Care for your fabric:
Dry clean for the first 2 times , can be followed by Mild Separate hand wash, as the colors may bleed.
Do not soak for long.
